Mrs. Charlotte Ann Goodwin Broadway, age 76, of Rome, passed away Friday evening, July 14, 2017, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Broadway was born in Rome, GA on June 29, 1941, daughter of the former Bernice Bragg and the late L. O. Goodwin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Broadway. Prior to her retirement, she was employed for many years at Floyd Medical Center as a C. N. A. in the nursery. Mrs. Broadway was a member of Shorter Avenue Baptist Church and was a volunteer with the Floyd County Baptist Association. She loved her Lord, her church, and her family and was a wonderful example of a Christian lady.
Survivors include her daughter, Tami Broadway Godfrey, and her husband, James, Roswell, GA; a son, Brian Clark Broadway, Rome; her mother, Bernice “Bissie” Goodwin, Rome; a step-daughter, Leatha Hobgood, and her husband, Rex, Rome; a sister, Pam Goodwin Roundtree, Birmingham, AL; 5 grandchildren, Sydney Broadway, Atlanta, Landon Dunkin (Michelle Rios), Los Angeles, CA, Loren Dunkin (Mara Canning), Chicago, IL, Lawson Dunkin, Augusta, GA, and C. J. Godfrey, Roswell, GA; 3 step-grandchildren, Jessica Rowe (Michael), Scott Air Force Base, IL, Ashleigh Dunaway (Tim), Canton, GA, and Mandi Clement (Jordan), Rome; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 17, 2017, at 2pm at Shorter Avenue Baptist Church. Her Pastor, the Rev. Skip Myers will officiate with others sharing.
The family will receive friends at Shorter Avenue Baptist Church on Monday from 1pm until the service hour.

Ms. Dorothy Louise Lambert Frost, age 72, of Rome, passed away Friday evening, July 14, 2017, in a local health care facility.
Ms. Frost was born in Centre, AL on September 10, 1944, daughter of the late Theodore and Willie Mae Lambert. She was also preceded in death by a son, Michael Todd Frost. Ms. Frost was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include 2 sons, Lane Frost, Rome, and Barry Frost, and his wife, Kim, Rome; 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, several siblings, and nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 17, 2017, at 11am at the graveside in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Jerry Brooks will officiate.

Ms. Doris Lucille Bailey Green, age 91, of Cedar Bluff, AL, formerly of the Garden Lakes Community, Rome, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2017, at a local hospital.
Ms. Green was born in Bartow County, GA on May 1, 1926, but was a resident of the Garden Lakes Community for over 50 years. She is the daughter of the late Auvern Thomas Bailey and the late Carrie Leola Brock Bailey. Ms. Green was also preceded in death by her husband, William Albert “Willie” Green, by a sister, Floy Bailey Howell, and by 3 brothers, Harry, Charles, and Doug Bailey. From 1972 until 1991, she, with her late husband, co-owned and operated Greenland Skating Center in Rome, where she became a mother to hundreds of children, especially on the weekends. After her retirement there, she worked with her son at Shenanigans and Jump & Gym, both in Rome. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her son, Kenneth Wayne Green, Cedar Bluff, AL; her daughter, Sherry Anita Green, and her husband, Randy, Rome; 4 grandchildren, Kasey Christian Green Brant, Euharlee, Jeffrey William Green, and his wife, Ashley, Armuchee, SSgt. Joshua Ryan Green, U. S. A. F., England, and Jacob Daniel Green, and his wife, Jordann, Rome; 4 great grandchildren, Brody William Brant, Euharlee, Easton Neil Green, Rome, Olivia Kate Green, Armuchee, and Lennox Jade Green, Rome; a sister, Ann Bailey Butler, Taylorsville; a brother, Thomas Bailey, Piedmont, AL; nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 17, 2017, at 11am in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, with the Rev. Brad Dillard and the Rev. Charles Garrett officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Lois M. Lowry, age 87 of Rome passed away Friday July 14, 2017 in a local hospital.
Mrs. Lowry was born November 11, 1929 in Floyd County, a daughter of the late William “Will” Maddox, and Emma Proctor Maddox. She was of the Baptist Faith, and a Homemaker. Mrs. Lowry was preceded in death by her husband, Joe V. Lowry, brothers, Eugene Maddox, Hobert Relford, Charlie Relford, and a sister, Susie Sexton.
Survivors include her son, Chris (Debbie) Lowry, Rome; a daughter, Donna (Howard) Ralston, Rome; grandchildren, Megan Lowry, and Jennifer (Austin) Colston, brother, James Maddox & companion Gary Judd, Garfield, AK; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday July 17, 2017 at Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 P.M. until 8 p.m. on Sunday July 16, 2017 at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, GA. 30165.
