Natalee Staats of the Rome Judicial Circuit named assistant district attorney of the year by the Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council of Georgia.

 

Assistant District Attorney Natalee Staats of the Rome Judicial Circuit has been named the assistant district attorney of the year at the annual Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council of Georgia summer conference at the Jekyll Island Convention Center. The announcement was made Sunday as the conference gets under way and continues through noon Wednesday.

Staats, who works for District Attorney Leigh Patterson, is the third deputy to be honored in recent years. At the 2015 conference, Steve Cox was named the state’s top assistant and in 2013, Martha Jacobs was honored.

Patterson was named the state’s top prosecutor by the council in 2010.
