Dining: Antigua Mexican Restaurant coming to former El Tapatio near Wal-Mart. Updates on Monday’s ACC meeting.

Antigua Mexican Restaurant is coming to the former El Tapatio at 863 Cartersville Highway next to the East Rome Wal-Mart. Owner Sabrina Wilson is set to appear before the Alcohol Control Commission on Monday for approval on a new beer, wine and liquor pouring license.

Also on Monday’s ACC agenda is request for beer and liquor pouring permit from Alejandro Perez for a second, smaller location of La Conquista Mexican Restaurant  coming to Dr. Raj Miniyar’s new international food court at 114 Broad St. There are no changes planned for the main restaurant on Martha Berry Highway in Armuchee.

Downtown dining: La Conquista will arrive soon after another new Mexican restaurant, LocoMex at 201 Broad St. Both join the original in town: El Zarape at 429 Broad St.
