A prominent Broad St. building is on the auction block along with 14 other various properties in Rome and Floyd County. The 405 Broad. St. building is currently owned by Larry Martin and is home to Smartypants and SpringStone Yoga. Smartypants owner Sandy Wilbanks says there are no changes expected at her shop.

Rainbow Cleaning Systems has opened a new distributor office in Rome at 44 E. 2nd Ave. Owned by the Rexair Corporation, Rainbow has an 86-year-old history of selling the world-famous Rainbow Air Filtration and Cleaning system. Rome office manager Lisa Stansell says the company mainly focuses on home demonstrations of their systems, but all are on display in the office as well. A open house event is planned for Tuesday, July 18 from 5-7 p.m. at the new office. Business hours are Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The office can be reached at 423-883-9494.
