The heroes of Rome and Floyd County came together today for a community-wide blood drive at the Law Enforcement Center with Blood Assurance. Participating organizations included: Rome Police Department, Floyd County Police Department, Rome/Floyd County Fire Department, Floyd County Sheriff’s Office, Floyd Medical Center EMS, Redmond EMS, Floyd County Corrections, Department of Community Supervision.
“We had a terrific day at the Law Enforcement Center with the Heroes Unified community blood drive. We saw 55 donors, collected 45 units of blood and saved over 130 lives,” says Mandy Perry with Blood Assurance.
