OUTLOOK

Today: Scattered to numerous thunderstorms are expected through tonight. The best chances for thunderstorms will be across north Georgia through this afternoon, shifting into central Georgia tonight. Some strong storms are likely and a few severe thunderstorms are possible. The  primary hazards will be very heavy rain, strong, gusty winds,  frequent cloud-to-ground lightning.

Tuesday-rest of the week: There is a chance of thunderstorms each day. The primary hazard will be very heavy rainfall through Tuesday as ample moisture and a cold front interact over the region. Other threats include strong, gusty winds and frequent lightning.
