Key organizer of February’s Night to Shine special needs prom has a surprise for Tim Tebow at this morning’s baseball game.
Tim Tebow has been drawing huge numbers at State Mutual Stadium this week as the Rome Braves host his Columbia Fireflies‘ teammates concluding with today’s 10:30 a.m. game. Shasta Farrer, who helped bring together some of the volunteers responsible for February’s Night to Shine special needs prom (at Pleasant Valley South Baptist) — sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation — has a surprise she hopes to present him at today’s game. Here’s her Facebook post on the plan:
“I traveled to five different schools, 11 different special needs classes and my heart is full!! ❤️❤️ I was so excited to see all of the guests who attended this year’s Night To Shine prom and honored to have their autographs covering this shirt. I have one more stop today to get a sneak peek of the Just As I Am special needs choir rehearsing the National Anthem for (today’s) Rome Braves game. We have our fingers crossed that Tim Tebow will see the choir and come over to them so they can give him this shirt as a HUGE thank you for all that he does!! ❤️@timtebow #timtebow #nighttoshine2017#romebraves #thankful
Game note: Get there early to see all the pregame acitivites. Gates open at 9:30 a.m.
